Does anyone else feel like they need a vacation after their holiday?
I hope all of you that celebrate had a Happy Easter. What I love most about the Easter season in our religion is the joy, and how it’s encouraged to be celebrated for over a month! Lent always leaves me feeling a little beaten up and sad, and then BANG, Hallelujah! It’s Easter and all is well…
…well, liturgically at least. 🙂 Flowers are blooming, birds are singing, and our church is proclaiming, “We are an Easter people and hallelujah is our song.” (Pope John Paul II) There is a time for mourning, and there is a time for feasting and happiness and fun.
Speaking of fun (or is that just geeky ol’ me?)…
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be doing a series on the pros and cons of various homeschooling styles when it comes to being a highly sensitive person. I’ll be focusing mainly on the mother (or primary teacher), but will be including some thoughts on how each style might benefit highly sensitive children as well.
I’ll be covering “school at home,” Charlotte Mason, Classical/Neo-Classical, literature rich curriculum such as Sonlight/WinterPromise, Waldorf, Montessori, unit studies, and unschooling. And of course, being eclectic and taking a little of whatever you want. 🙂
Feel free to let me know in the comments if there are any questions in particular you’d like me to answer during my series. I’ll do my best to include the information you’ll find most helpful.
Be richly blessed in love, my friends. See you soon!
Hi Amy,
We must have similar temperaments. Are you INFJ (I am)? I am very much looking forward to following your analysis as it is something I would like to know, but have never endeavored to research. Regarding a break after a holiday: yes, and after vacation. Like a week. I should be teaching school right now and finish cleaning up all the mess of hosting dinner, but I am zoning out by reading online (part of recharging my batteries). Thanks for sharing, Kristin (used to be Yassem) Sanders
Hi Kristin! I’m close – I’m an INFP. I think my P/J is pretty borderline, although I always score P no matter how many times I take a Myers Briggs Test. Glad to know I’m not the only one that wants a week off after a week off! LOL Congratulations (again) on your marriage! I’m so happy for you all.
