Linking up at The Littlest Way for a Sunny Monday Daybook

Thanking God for:

~Rotisserie Chicken from the supermarket that saved Sunday dinner
~my new phone (can’t wait to get it!)

Praying for:

~my Godmother who just had emergency open-heart surgery
~my new neighbors, just because
~all the rollerskaters on their recital weekend
~healing for my husband and children

Pondering:

~school curriculum choices for next year
~an upcoming giveaway
~whether or not to take a course to be a certified Psychology of Eating coach.
~the inexhaustible love of God. I had for so long not felt anything. At all. (Baggage, people, baggage.) But someone introduced me to Joseph Prince (not IRL, I mean, but his online sermons) and I am b.l.o.w.n. away. I don’t agree with everything he says theologically, but he has a way of teaching about the infinite grace and love of God that I had never understood, or heard, or felt before.

Listening to:

~the neighbor’s lawn crew
~my daughter singing…something

Reading:

~Healing the Shame that Binds You by John Bradshaw
~Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling. Not actually reading, but listening to.  I’m enjoying the story itself, but I’m enjoying Jim Dale’s performance on the audiobook immensely more.  I’ve been known to circle the block an extra time or two in my car to get one more chapter in. 😉

In the Kitchen:

~not much, unless I get out shopping today!
~chicken stock simmering on the stove. There’s that!

Remembering:

These last days of skating this year. Next weekend is show weekend!  I always try to cherish the last days, because I never know if the kids are going to do it again next year (we leave this up to them). (for those that don’t know, my children participate in a performance rollerskating/rollerdancing program.)

Captured:

Nothing, waiting for my new phone to take some pictures!  One picture that got away this morning – our resident fox was back in our backyard! We haven’t seen one in ages.

Hope you all have a blessed week!

  1. Hi, Amy! Your new site looks great! (And I agree about listening to Harry Potter on audio. My 11 yo listened to all the books on audio — well, not quite all of them, but most of them — over and over again, and I can’t really imagine reading them on paper. My older kids got so tired of hearing the books that they hid his CDs… but the first time through was great! 😉
